Appliance Repair in Wadsworth, OH
Wadsworth is in Medina County, about 43 minutes south of our Parma base. Whatever quit in the kitchen or laundry room, we can come out and look.
One discount per visit. Mention it when you book.
The town that used to make Blue Tip matches still throws a festival named after them every year. Wadsworth sits right on I-76, about 26 miles from us. Ohio 57 and 94 both run through it, and we cover everything off those roads plus the township land around town.
Call and tell us the brand and what's wrong. We'll bring the parts that usually fail on that model. The technician figures out the problem, then tells you the price. You decide from there.
Error codes you might be staring at
Newer washers love to flash a code and quit. Below are three that come up on popular brands. A code points to an area of the machine, not always the exact part, so we test before ordering anything.
Three common ones on washers
The door lock didn't engage or didn't report back. Sometimes it's a sock caught in the latch. Often it's the lock assembly. Our article on the Whirlpool F5E3 code walks through it.
A heating or temperature sensor error. The water isn't getting warm, or the board can't read the sensor. See our page on the LG tE code.
Water supply problem. Check that both taps behind the washer are open and the hoses aren't kinked. If water still won't come in, the inlet valve may be bad.
Write the code down before you unplug the machine. Some boards clear the code when power is cut, and then we're starting from zero. A phone photo of the display works fine too.
Wadsworth houses from the late seventies
Going by the Census, the typical home here dates to about 1978. About a third of households rent. That mix shows up in what breaks and who calls.
Owners with older machines
If you've been in your house a while, you may still have a washer or a chest freezer from the 2000s. Those are simpler machines and often worth fixing. Parts are easy to find.
Renters and landlords
If you rent, check who's responsible before you call. We can send the quote straight to the owner so you don't have to pass messages back and forth.
Dishwashers in old cutouts
A newer dishwasher in a seventies cabinet sometimes doesn't sit level. The door can leak at the corner. Leveling the feet takes a few minutes.
Dryer vents through the wall
Ranch homes usually vent the dryer straight out the side. Short runs are good, but the outside flap can get stuck with lint. Check it once a season.

Washer stopped with water inside
It happens to everybody sooner or later. Before you pay for a visit, try this. Takes maybe fifteen minutes and a couple of old towels.
- Cut the powerTurn it off and pull the plug. You don't want it kicking back on while your hands are near the bottom.
- Find the little doorMost front-loaders have a small panel down at the bottom front. Behind it there's a drain filter and sometimes a skinny hose. Put a shallow pan and the towels underneath, it'll be more water than you think.
- Pull the filter slowlyTwist it out a bit at a time and let the water run out. Once it's empty, pull it all the way and look. Coins, bobby pins, a baby sock. Clean it and screw it back tight.
- Try a drain cyclePlug it in and run drain and spin by itself. If it drains now, you're done. If the pump hums but nothing moves, or there's no sound at all, that's when you call us.
Top-loaders don't have that filter. If one of those won't drain, leave it alone and call.
If it cannot wait in Wadsworth
Saturday the vans stay home, but you can still send us a request and we'll line you up. Every other day we're out from 7 am till 11 pm. Calling on a weekday morning gives you the best odds of seeing us before dinner.
Washer won't drain
Don't force the door. Turn it off and leave the water in it. We'll drain it on site.
Freezer thawing
Keep the lid or door shut. Pack it with towels if the seal looks loose.
Gas smell
Leave right away and call 911 or the gas company from outside.
Wadsworth ZIP and nearby places
- 44281Wadsworth, OH
The Wadsworth ZIP, 44281, covers more ground than the city itself. It reaches into the township and even bits of Summit and Wayne counties. We go anywhere in it. Seville is west of here and Copley is northeast, and both are on our route.
Do you come to Wadsworth, Ohio?
Yes. We cover the whole 44281 ZIP, including the township roads outside city limits. It's about 43 minutes from Parma without traffic.
How soon can you be in Wadsworth?
If you call early on a weekday, there's a good chance we can come the same day. Later calls get the earliest slot we have. Wadsworth sits right on I-76, so it's an easy trip for us. Tell us if your street is out past the city line in the township.
My washer shows an error code. Should I call?
Write the code down first. Some codes clear after a reset, which you can try by unplugging the washer for a minute. If the code comes back, call and tell us what it says. Knowing the code ahead of time often means we bring the right part instead of coming back a second day.
Do you work with Wadsworth landlords?
Yes. A third of Wadsworth households rent, so this comes up. Give us the owner's name and number and say who okays the cost. The quote goes there, and the tenant just has to let us in.
How much does a repair cost in Wadsworth?
No two jobs cost the same. We diagnose first and give one total price. You approve before we start. Discounts are $30 for veterans or seniors and $20 for a first visit.
Which brands do you fix in Wadsworth?
All the common ones. Whirlpool and Maytag are daily work, same as GE. Samsung and LG front-loaders show up constantly with codes, and we handle higher-end brands too.
Fill in the street and what broke. Flashing letters on the display? Type them in as well, and we ring back.
We will call you shortly to confirm a time for your repair.
