Commercial Dishwasher Repair for Restaurant Kitchens
Racks stacking up by the pit and the rinse gauge reading low. We repair dish machines for restaurants and cafes, and the dishwashers in office break rooms.
When the dish machine goes down on a Friday, the line runs out of plates way before it runs out of food. We handle commercial dishwasher repair for restaurants and cafes around Parma and Cleveland. Offices with a dishwasher in the break room call us too.
On the phone, just tell us what kind of machine it is and what the gauges read. Our technician checks the heat and the wash pump right there and gives you the whole price before starting. Early morning before prep works for us, and so does late evening after the dining room clears out.

High temperature or low temperature machine
First thing we ask is whether yours is a high temp or a low temp machine. It's printed on the data plate, or in the manual if you still have it.
These sanitize with really hot final rinse water, around 180°F on most models. A booster heater gets it there. When the booster weakens, the rinse gauge is where you'll notice.
Here a chemical in the rinse does the sanitizing, so the water runs cooler. Problems tend to sit in the dosing pump or the tubing, not the heater.
Hard water hits both kinds. Scale coats a booster element like a sweater, and the heater can run all night and still come up short.
A low sanitizing reading is also exactly what a health inspector looks for. Call about it that day instead of keeping an eye on it for a week.
Where dish machines usually break down
Heat and water
Booster or tank heater
When an element burns out or a thermostat quits, the tank stays lukewarm. Plates look fine. They just aren't sanitized.
Fill valve
This solenoid valve opens dozens of times every shift, and scale builds up on it. You get a slow fill, or a tank that won't stop filling.
Float and level switch
The machine has to know the water level. If the float sticks, it won't heat. Sometimes it won't wash at all.
Wash and drain
Wash arms
Lemon seeds and bits of food jam the nozzles. After that, one side of every rack comes out greasy.
Wash pump and motor
A motor that sounds loud while the spray looks weak usually has a worn seal or impeller in the pump.
Drain and scrap screen
Water still in the tank after draining means a clogged scrap screen first, and a sticky drain valve second.
An undercounter unit behind the bar and a door-type machine in the dish room share most of these parts. Read us the model off the data plate, and the parts that usually fail on it come along on the first visit.
Rinse gauge reading low before dinner service
Check the gauge in the middle of a full cycle. Right after the machine sat idle it'll read low anyway. Still low? Stop sending racks through for sanitizing and fall back on your three sink setup until we get there.
You can request a visit any day of the week. Our technicians work 7 am to 11 pm on weekdays and Sundays, and if you call early you've got a better shot at seeing one before dinner.
Checks for the night crew
- Pull the scrap screensLift them out and rinse them in the sink. A packed screen alone will stop the drain.
- Spin the arms by handEach one should spin easily. Take the end caps off and flush whatever's stuck in the nozzles.
- Look at the chemical linesOn a low temp machine, check that the tubes are actually down in the jugs. And that the jugs aren't empty.
Delime on whatever schedule the maker sets. Hard water leaves scale on heaters and valves, and a dish machine heats a lot of water every single day.
Break room dishwashers in offices
Lots of offices and clinics just have a regular built-in dishwasher, often a Bosch or a GE. With the whole staff using it every day, the door gasket and the drain pump wear out a lot faster than they would in somebody's kitchen.
We fix these for the business and send the quote to the office manager. When a whole floor shares one machine, waiting a week isn't really an option. Got a dishwasher at home? That's on our household dishwasher repair page.
Ask people to scrape plates into the trash first. Coffee grounds plug a break room filter in a few weeks.

The rest of the commercial kitchen
The dish machine is rarely the only thing acting up in a kitchen. Reach-in running warm, or an oven door that won't seal? Mention it when you book and the technician can check it on the same trip.
Steam from the dish pit lands on anything cold nearby. A reach-in parked right next to the machine gets damp, greasy condenser coils much faster than one across the room, so have them looked at every few months.
Do you offer commercial dishwasher repair near me?
If your restaurant sits inside our 50 mile radius around Parma, yes. That includes Cleveland and Lakewood, as well as Strongsville to the south.
Why isn't my dish machine reaching rinse temperature?
On a high temperature machine, the booster heater or its thermostat is the first suspect. Low incoming water temperature can also keep the booster from catching up.
Why are plates coming out with food still on them?
Plugged wash arms or a weak wash pump. Overloaded racks and a dirty scrap screen do it too, so check those first.
Can you come before or after service hours?
Yes. Technicians work 7 am to 11 pm on Sunday and on weekdays, so early mornings and late evenings are possible.
Do you service the dishwashers in office break rooms?
Yes. We repair built-in dishwashers used by offices and other workplaces, and the business gets the quote.
Is it worth repairing an older commercial dishwasher?
Heaters and valves are usually worth replacing. A rusted tank or a frame that leaks at the welds is where buying new may make more sense, and you hear the price first.
How often should a commercial dishwasher be delimed?
As often as its maker says, and sooner if you see white crust on the heater or the wash arms. Scale makes the heater work longer and blocks the rinse nozzles.
Which commercial dishwasher brands do you work on?
Tell us the name on the data plate when you call. We confirm on the phone whether we take that machine before booking.
